Official ARC rulebook and drivers' briefing

1.0 Driver Requirements
1.1 All drivers are to race clean and respectfully at any ARC sanctioned event. This includes points races and non-points races.
1.2 Teamspeak will be available, but not mandatory. We do have open team channels in our Teamspeak if you want to be separated during the race. Our teamspeak can be found at voice.gameservers.com:9114. We will remind everyone of our teamspeak address during practice and qualifying sessions every week.
1.3 The ARC Truck Series admins and officials reserve the right to discuss, discipline, and/or remove any driver from the league if the driver fails to meet the above requirements during any ARC sanctioned event.

2.0 Qualifying Procedures and Regulations
2.1 The ARC Truck Series will use an open qualifying system. Drivers are to listen to race admins who will organize qualifying. Drivers will be given 1-2 laps of qualifying and will be sent out in the reverse order of practice speeds.
2.2 Any driver who wrecks after he has taken the green flag for his timed lap will not be allowed another attempt. If the driver wrecks before taking the green flag, he will be allowed to reset his car and run again. ARC admins reserve the right to allow or disallow any driver a second attempt as they see fit.
2.3 At Road Courses, the field will be split into three groups for qualifying, based on practice speeds with 5 minutes left in practice. Each group will be sent out onto the track, spaced out, and have 10 minutes to qualify. Drivers are allowed to pit during this time period, but are not to reset their cars under any circumstance. Resetting will result in an immediate forfeit of any remaining qualifying time the driver has.
2.4 After a driver has finished his qualifying attempt, he is to pull to the inside of the racing surface and get out of his car. Any driver who remains in his car after his qualifying attempt can and will receive penalties from admins. This same rule applies to being in the car before admins have called you to take your lap.
2.5 Driver chatter is to be kept to a minimum during this period to allow admins to properly facilitate the qualifying sequence. Admins reserve the right to mute individual or all driver chat if they see fit.

3.0 Race Session Regulations
3.1 All ARC Truck Series race sessions will open for a half hour practice at 7:00PM Eastern on Wednesday nights. Qualifying will begin at 7:30PM Eastern. The qualifying session will be set for 30 minutes, but we will advance once all drivers currently in the session have completed their qualifying attempts.
3.2 Setups will be fixed. We will used iRacing Fixed setup for each track. Fixed setups will be used through the remainder of this season and into the next. A reminder will be given to all league members before we make the switch back to open setups.
3.3 A drivers meeting/briefing will be held at the conclusion of qualifying, when drivers are gridding.
3.4 All drivers will receive 1 fast repair during an ARC Truck Series event, unless otherwise specified by the race admins.
3.5 Black flags will not be cleared, except in certain instances which will be discussed by admins before any action is taken.

4.0 Restarts
4.1 All restarts will be double file with lapped cars at the back.
4.2 The leader is allowed to go any time between when the pacecar pulls into the pits and the green lights come on.
4.3 The leader has lane choice for the restart. He is to tell the field where he is restarting when the field takes the one to green.
4.4 The leader on the restart is not allowed to start to go, then slow up. Once you start to go, you must follow through. Failing to do so will result in a stop & go penalty to be served under green flag conditions.

5.0 Cautions
5.1 Cautions will be thrown by admins only if two (2) or more trucks have wrecked but iRacing did not throw a caution. Admin cautions will only be thrown if an Admin can verify at least two cars have wrecked. Admin cautions will not be thrown for any single car spins.
5.2 At road courses, the caution will be thrown if two or more cars are involved. Furthermore, this will be up to admin discretion of the admins overseeing the race. Cautions can be thrown for any wreck they deem requires the caution period.
5.3 When a caution comes out, drivers not involved are to slow their speed responsibly and try to avoid contact. Drivers involved should try to regain control of their cars and try not to involve any other drivers. This means locking and holding the brakes to allow other drivers to safely maneuver around. Once all cars have safely passed you may return to the pacing line.
5.4 During cautions, trucks are to stay to the inside of the track to leave room for the lucky dog/wave-arounds.
5.5 The Lucky Dog will be given to the first truck one (or more) laps down, assuming he didn’t cause the caution. The wave will be given as pit road opens for the lead lap cars.
5.6 Wave arounds will be available to any driver that falls out of the race due to internet connection issues to get them back on the lead lap.
5.7 All drivers must maintain their speed and position under all cautions. Stopping anywhere but in your pitstall under caution will result in an immediate EOL penalty.

6.0 Points System
6.1 The race winner will receive 43 points. From there, the points will decrease by one for each descending position (2nd gets 42 points, 3rd gets 41 points, and so on).
6.2 Point bonuses will be awarded as follows:
            ·  3 bonus points will be awarded to the race winner
            ·  1 bonus point for finishing the race with 0 incidents
            ·  1 bonus point will be awarded to the driver that leads the most laps
            ·  1 bonus point will be awarded to any driver that leads at least one lap
6.3 Chase Eligibility: Any driver who has won a race during the regular season and has competed in at least half of the regular season races will be locked into the Chase. If less than 8 drivers win a regular season race, we will revert to points standings to determine the rest of the Chase field.
6.4 Chase bonus points: Chase drivers will receive 3 bonus points to start the Chase for each points-paying win they had during the regular season in the first round.
6.5 Chase Eliminations: The winners of the first two Chase races will be locked into the second round, as well as the Top 4 in points following the second event (6 Total Drivers). The winners of the 3rd & 4th Chase races will be locked into the final event, as well as the Top 2 in points after the fourth event (4 Total Drivers).
6.6 Winning the Championship: Four drivers will go into the final Chase race at Homestead-Miami with an equal chance at the championship. Final Championship standings will be determined based on those four drivers’ performance in the final event. The driver finishing highest in the final event will be crowned Champion. He does not have to win, just beat his three other competitors.

7.0 Penalties & Suspensions
7.0.1 Before any driver is removed from the server, the admin will explain via private message their offence and give them the rule section number they have breached.
7.1 Three strikes rule – If you bring out three yellows in a single race, you are removed immediately. Wrecking someone who blocks does not count against you. If more than one person causes an incident, both drivers receive a strike against them. Self spins count against you.
7.2 Chat abuse – swears, abusive language, excessive arguing. Chat will be muted for the remainder of the night’s event for general abuse. Abuse directed towards another driver will result in a mute for the remainder of the event in which is occurred, and the next two events.
7.3 All drivers are responsible for their internet connections. Any driver can be given an EOL penalty or black flag at any time for internet problems that could cause problems on-track.
7.4 Arguing with a race call – Points penalties, position revocation, and suspensions can be assessed to any driver who continues to argue once an admin call is made. Drivers will have 10 minutes to argue their side once a call is made. After the driver has given his 10 minute argument, the call is considered final. Further arguing will fall under this rule. Based on severity, admin discretion.
7.5 Wrecking under caution – If any wrecking under caution occurs during a race session, intentional or not, the driver responsible will be removed from the server. Further penalties may be assessed based on severity.
7.6 All drivers must maintain their speed and position under all cautions. Stopping anywhere but in your pitstall under caution will result in an immediate EOL penalty.
7.7 All penalties assessed CAN carry over from season to season. This includes probationary periods as well as suspensions, EOL’s, and other admin penalties.
7.8 100% Rule – All drivers are to drive at 100% at all times. Drivers are not to manipulate the outcome of the race to help teammates or for any other reasons. This includes, but not limited to; Blatantly making more than necessary pit stops to aid a teammate, or Blatantly allowing a teammate to pass and gain position. Drivers falling under this rule are subject to position revocation, point reduction, or loss of Chase privileges, depending on severity. Admin discretion and drivers will not have any say in these kinds of calls.
7.9 Aggressive driving is defined as causing contact on the final lap that takes the chance at ANY finishing position away from another driver.  Aggressive driving will result in penalties including but not limited to; Loss of finishing position, black flags, EOL penalties, and point reduction/revocation.
7.9.1 An aggressive driving penalty and three spin rule penalty comes with a 3 race probationary period. Further penalties, including suspensions, will be instilled for drivers having issues on more than one occasion, to be handed down by ARC admins.
        7.10 You block you pay.
7.11 Brendan Burcroff Rule - If, under caution, any driver goes to fake pit, or goes off track onto the apron or any other unused piece of track, and comes back onto the track and makes contact with another driver, the said driver will be immediately given and EOL penalty or removed from the server, depending on severity. NO EXCEPTIONS.
